The word NEEMA itself is Swahili for "born in prosperity." We try to instill a philosophy for success in all of our children. We use dance to teach overcoming obstacles and succeeding in life. Ms. Liz believes that a positive attitude and positive thinking this will lead to the highest achievements in our dance classes, the highest achievements in our children’s academic careers, and eventually their lifelong success in whatever their goals may be.

The center consists of Dance Academy and school of musical instruction. NEEMA offers dance classes in various dance genres to students ranging from preschool to adulthood. The school has two major performaces a year which includes our winter and spring (recitals).  The center is dedicated to sharing the arts with the community by committing to events such as Panoply, Hawaiian Fest, Huntsville’s Annual Black History Program, American Education Week, Huntsville Black Arts Festival, and several local church functions in the Tennessee Valley. The center has also worked with several local organizations and educational institutions including Stone Middle School, Hampton Cove Middle School, Alabama A&M University, NYSP, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.(GEMS), American Education Week Committee, and United Families of African Decent.

The appreciation for dance and music begins at the age of two at NEEMA International. If you believe that your child has an appreciation for music at an early age, please give us a call. NEEMA will allow parents a free trial class to see if their little ones are ready for the ballet barre. A dance class can be very intimidating for little ones, so sometimes they may need a warm-up class.

MAKE SURE TO ASK ABOUT OUR WARM UP CLASS!
